SO the Journey Continues to BALI! ....

Nearly a year ago I left the land of England to pursue my adventure to the other side of the planet, the land of Australia!

I have blogged only a few times during this epic adventure and I felt compelled to share with my beautiful people whats been happening thus far.

So it all began in Australia...

Australia was an EPIC experience of rather large proportions to say the least! I landed in Melbourne nervous as hell and so sad to leave behind such great people, but I embarked on this adventure as my travel bug has always pushed me to see new places and faces and to really live life to its fullest!

Australia was mental to say the least! Living with completely crazy people (nearly being homeless) was the beginning of what was to become a somewhat life changing experience!

By my second week I was working for a fashion brand, by the second month I was acting on one of the biggest TV shows Neighbours!

My Australian adventure has taught me so much about life and meeting some amazing people along the way has given me a new energy! There we so many times I just wanted to leave because of some challenging experiences but I pushed through it all and carried on. Visiting Sydney for New year, Flying to Tasmania to see my good friend Marni and her new bundle of joy were some of the highlights of my amazing trip!

+Australia  Is a beautiful vast place and full of opportunities, the laid back lifestyle and the quality of life really does pull me to stay but alas my journey continued to Bali!

As soon as I landed in Bali the tropical heat hits you and the air smelt different! I came here to reunite with my family on my journey back to the UK.

I would would describe Bali in three words, Enchanting, Crazy and RANDOM!

The roads are mental for a start! There are no rules and everyone drives the way they want in a crazy rush! Crossing the road felt like a life threatening experience where getting hit by a passing car or bike was a real danger! The craziness of the Balinese party scene is seen almost every night in +Seminyak as tourists flood into bars and clubs creating quite a noise, there is a scene for everyone!

The spiritual side of Bali is such strong contrast to the crazy party scene and you can find yourself in a spiritually enlightening temple surrounded by beautiful scenery and a energy which cannot be defined with words!

One of the most emotional parts of my travelling so far was reuniting with my family, it was meant to be my whole family but customs stopped my sister and brother from coming due to visa restrictions... None the less meeting my mum and dad after nearly a year was a beautiful moment and reconnecting with people who love me unconditionally literally made me cry tears of happiness!

I have experienced so many crazy amazing moments during my travels, some of which I want to forget but mostly amazing memories that will stay with till the end!

I would like to finish this travel blog and chapter of my travelling by saying a few words: get out there and travel! It truly does give you a love for life, a depth to your soul that nothing else can. There was a famous quote once that said: "Travelling is the only thing you buy that makes you richer" This is a quote I live by and will always live by! It is a feeling of great freedom of going into the unknown and finding your inner self, the inner strength does get tested but you grow and evolve and each step of the way you learn so much about life and so much about yourself!

So to conclude (for now) I am sitting in a Bali airport about to fly back to the UK but my heart and soul is that of an adventurer and I am sure ill be blogging soon on my next crazy and amazing adventure!

The land of Oz continued!

In my life so far and on my crazy travels I've come across some interesting people to say the least and my journey which has led me to the land of Oz has been nothing but in true Yash style a bit mental, crazy and oh  amazing!
Happy New Year from Sydney!
So going back to just arriving in Melbourne and feeling so excited staying with a friend from London and really happy to get out of the UK and the grayness that is London. Fast forward 4 months (its gone so fast!) and after going through dramas with so called 'friends' who have none the less disappeared to give way to new friendships, fracturing my finger (now its bent forever), living with a arrogant rude french dude to living with a 55 year old OCD Aussie Greek woman who was nothing short of a psycho! Oh and throw in a guy who never spoke to me who lived next door to me and had next to no personality.. and that's just the start!

Sydney Harbor Bridge and Opera House!
I have had amazing times here also and been blessed to have met some angels along the way who have come to my 'rescue' in the shape of a Aussie lady who asked me if I was 'OK love' when I fractured my finger in the hospital and offered me a place to stay in her amazing mansion in Williamstown beach. She said after hearing my stories 'I want to show you that good people exist' and for sure they do! After losing faith with humanity which happened a few times since being in Australia (once a few guys in a car drove up opened their window and screamed 'faggot!') I have understood that yes you have to take the good with the bad!

Tallest point of Tasmania with Marni (Love Ya!)
I have moved into my 5th house, yes I have moved 5 bleeding times in the space of four months! Finally finding somewhere I actually feel comfortable with in a place called Moonee Ponds (funky name yeah I know) but its cool for now. I had another angel come out of nowhere and offer some much needed help as I needed a mattress to sleep on and bang a mattress was delivered to me today! This anonymous act of generosity has brightened my day and made believe in the good once again!

A bit of Lama Lovin!
OK! Going back to my travelling, I have visited a good friend in Tasmania a visually stunning place and climbed the tallest point with breathtaking views! I spent New Years in Sydney which was so much fun to say the least after partying on the Sydney harbor bridge (and the party continuing for 3 days!)  seeing the STUNNING fireworks and going on rides at Luna Park. The city is awesome with clean beaches and bars and clubs to keep you entertained. I didn't actually want to leave Sydney but for now i'm back in Melbourne and its not so bad here either. Its meant to be the most 'live-able city' in the world however coming from London I think the transport needs a good seeing to as you can wait up to 25-30 mins for a train to come and sometimes when your in a rush to get somewhere it can get rather annoying!  Melbourne however does have amazing places to eat and coffee culture is great here. I find the slowness of the city a bit draining sometimes as I love cities like London and New York for the energy and its hustle and bustle. When it comes to Asian food Melbourne is your place as every corner of the city is a Asian restaurant and for me this has been a bonus as Asian food rocks!

I have yet to travel up the coast of Australia to  see the Great Barrier reef but i'm very much looking forward to it and will keep you fabulous people posted!

From the land of Oz I wish you a 'Goodaaaay Mate mate mate!' :P

Love and light!

Hello Melbourne!

Beautiful Melbourne!

Hi guys! I have not posted in a while so here goes!
Its been two weeks since I landed in Melbourne town
and its been a busy 2 weeks!

First and foremost I want to say the city of Melbourne
is visually stunning. The first time I walked into town
I was struck by its amazing energy and beauty!  I saw trams
horses and yellow cabs rushing past Flinders st (main train station).

Straight away I felt that this city was special and felt like home almost instantly! The buildings are architecturally stunning, big sky scrapers and shopping areas make it a place to be!

I've been walking all around the city and have seen so much of Melbourne already: Fitzroy, Chappel Street, Flinders Street, Bourke Street and many more streets! ;) So far I LOVE south Yarra area, fabulous boutiques for clothes shopping as well as amazing cafe's and sexy bars! If you were lucky enough to come to Melbourne please visit this area as its alot like London minus the bad pollution and masses of people pushing and shoving you out of the way!

My friends back home know i'm a party animal and as soon as I got of the plane the next  evening I was out and about thanks to my wonderful friend Fabrizio! Partying that night in a place called 'The Peel' was an experience I tell ya that! Crazy drag queens and many drinks later meant I had a hangover for days... ooops! :P

One thing I really want to spread the word about is the VIBE in Melbourne town. Coming from a busy city like London where people on the underground seem almost suicidal (slight exaggeration but you get me!) I can honestly say this city has a good positive and laid back vibe and guess what most people smile at you when you make contact! This chilled out vibe of  'no worries mate' took a few days to get used to but actually I love it and I'm becoming more chilled as a result which is never a bad thing!

To conclude my journey thus far; I have partied, walked loads and loads, seen many cool spots in Melbourne town, reconnected to old travel friends Svet, Fabrizio and others, already shot with one of Australia's top fashion photographers Peter Coulson (http://www.peter-coulson.com.au) had job interviews, OH and its my birthday tomorrow so turning a year older in a beautiful place with great people isn't so bad!

Note to my London friends and family: I F***ing miss you all with all my heart and soul and i'm only a Skype or Viber call away!

One Love

Australia i'm HERE! Finally!!!

Rebourne in MELBOURNE!

OMFG! After stopping over in Istanbul from London, hanging out in Taksim square (center of Istanbul) where all the riots happened just weeks ago and having a magical time (food, mosques, friendly passionate people with soul passion and FOOD!), then going to Dubai (literally for 9 hours) meeting up for a quick hello with amazing beautiful friend +Marisa Vorayos  seeing all the amazing tall towering buildings and beautiful Arab people I'm finally HERE i'm in F****ING MELBOURNE!!!

So its my first few hours here and the jet lag has hit me in the face and so not used to the time zone difference! I have already made friends on the plane here and with the cabin crew staff and was even greeted at the airport to the whole ground cabin crew team shouting "welcome to Melbourne Yash! You will love it!"

I have been so lucky and met a dear friend Taylor back in London town, who is a fellow Ozzie here! He has been truly amazing to me and picked me up from Melbourne Airport with his cool Mama and this will be where i'll be staying in Melbourne! I can't thank you guys enough already!

SO here goes beautiful friends and family this is to a new beginning... as i looked at the "Welcome to Melbourne" poster on the wall it just came to me I will be "Rebourne in Melbourne!"  :D

Miss you all already!

A new journey is about to begin!

Feeling super excited and nervous!

Hi beautiful people! This is a exciting time in my life and I have been told by so many of my friends and family to create a blog sharing with you all my crazy experiences that are about to unfold!

For those who don't know me my name is Yash Ozbaris, Born and bred Turkish Cypriot South Londoner about to embark on a new phase in my life and move to the other side of the world to Melbourne in Australia! I'm super excited, nervous, anxious, nostalgic but above all feel so pumped to experience new things in a totally new country!

I have had a tough couple of years losing a dear friend (RIP Darryl Boyd- doing this for both of us! Always in my heart) leaving a mental relationship which those of you who are close and dear to me know affected me in a profound way, needless to say I am bouncing back from all of this and all of these wild and emotional experiences have really inspired me to take the next step in my life and travel to Australia (I've been talking about this for literally 2 years!)

So please stayed tuned to my blog: 'http://lifeissserendipity.blogspot.com' I'll be posting images and blogging about my experiences on my travels to hopefully inspire and bring a smile to all your beautiful faces!

One Love <3
